AAAI Scholarship Program

 

Asian American Alliance is pleased to announce its 2011 Scholarship Program.  The Scholarship Program provides high school students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 at the five regional high schools in the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) the opportunity to obtain a scholarship in the amount of $750.  AAAI will award up to three (3) $750 scholarships at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee to IPS high school students.  In addition, AAAI in partnership with its corporate sponsor, Telamon Corporation, will award four (4) additional scholarships in the amount of $750 each to Asian American high school students from any school system who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership in serving the Central Indiana community.

In the past seven years, AAAI has awarded more than 100 scholarships totaling nearly $60,000 to deserving students.

Completed applications can be sent by email to Rupal Thanawala, AAAI Scholarship Committee Chair, at rthanawala@yahoo.com or rthanawala2009@kellogg.northwestern.edu.  Recipients of the Asian American scholarships will be notified via email on or before May 20, 2011.  The 2011 Scholarship Program Awards Presentation will be held during Asian Festival at Garfield Park on June 4, 2011.
