People from an increasingly broad spectrum of backgrounds and nationalities are calling Central Indiana their "home", making it a richer, more dynamic place to live for all. In celebration of the growing diversity in our community, AAAI is proud to present the eighth annual Race for All Races on Saturday, October 23rd at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis. The Race for All Races is a family-friendly 5K Run/Walk and a 1-Mile Family Walk that brings people of all different races and backgrounds together. A portion of the proceeds from the Race will fund IPS high school student scholarships. In the past six years, AAAI has awarded more than 100 scholarships totaling nearly $60,000 to deserving students.
In spite of the recession, an amazing group of sponsors displayed below stepped up last year to support the Race for all Races. They clearly believe in supporting diversity in our community and AAAI's work to bring people together. We invite you to join us in supporting diversity. One way you can help is to form a team of walkers with your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. A team of 10 or more will receive a reduced entry fee of $15 per person. The largest team will receive special recognition on Race Day.
The Opening Ceremony is at 8:45 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. and the 1-Mile Family Walk starts at 9:10 a.m. Register for the Race online at www.tuxbro.com For more information, please contact Asian American Alliance, Inc. at 317-627-2010.
