People from an increasingly broad spectrum of backgrounds and nationalities are calling Central Indiana their "home", making it a richer, more dynamic place to live for all. In celebration of the growing diversity in our community, AAAI is proud to present the seventh annual Race for All Races on Saturday, September 12th at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis. The Race for All Races is a family-friendly 5K Run/Walk and a 1-Mile Family Walk that brings people of all different races and backgrounds together. A portion of the proceeds from the Race will fund IPS high school student scholarships. In the past six years, AAAI has awarded more than 100 scholarships totaling nearly $60,000 to deserving students.
In spite of the recession, an amazing group of sponsors displayed below have stepped up to support this year's Race for all Races. They clearly believe in supporting diversity in our community and AAAI's work to bring people together. We invite you to join us also. One way you can help is to form a team of walkers with your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. A team of 10 or more will receive a reduced entry fee of $15 per person. The largest team will receive special recognition on Race Day.
The Opening Ceremony is at 8:45 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. and the 1-Mile Family Walk starts at 9:10 a.m. After the Race, participants can enjoy the Second Annual Chinese Festival also taking place at Military Park.
